7th and 8th Grade Students Compete in Middle Grades Governor’s Cup

Each year since 1986, The Kentucky Association for Academic Competition holds the Governor’s Cup, a statewide competition to encourage and recognize great academic achievement. Representative students from each school take written exams in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Arts/Humanities and Composition; teams of students compete in Quick Recall and Future Problem Solving.
The district tournament produced notable achievements including the Future Problem Solving team, made up of Jack Salamon ‘22, Calder Beasley ‘22, Nate Beasley ‘22, and Lucy Johnson ‘22, finishing third in the district competition and Zacaria Nouri ‘22 taking fourth place medal overall in Composition. Our Upper School students will compete in their district competition for Governor’s Cup this week.
