The photo below was taken in 1978 for my senior yearbook at Drew University. I remember it as if it was yesterday. In the intervening 40 years, I have served Independent Schools with vigor and enthusiasm. I am excited to continue to do so at Collegiate.
We are a school with a remarkable past. Collegiate prepares its graduates to think on their feet and to lead with purpose and compassion. Making sure that teaching and learning remain at the center of all we do is our first order of business for the 2018-2019 school year.
As the Interim Head of School, my focus will be on getting the School ready for the next Head. During the year we will examine all things Collegiate, not to initiate programs but to affirm who we are and what we do. I have been a new-to-the-school Head, and there is no better way to begin the journey.
Look for my regularly occurring piece in Enews, noting observations, asking questions, and sharing ideas; I hope that you will join in these critical conversations.
Thank you for joining me in this work and don’t hesitate to call or write with questions and comments.
