Welcome to Collegiate!
Why should my son or daughter enroll at Louisville Collegiate School? To understand the answer to this question you need to experience our campus. Come see our teachers in action, immerse yourself in a Character Cornerstones class, talk to our students, attend a play in the Brown Arts Center, watch students climb the rock wall, or observe the ninth-grade students’ enthusiasm when they depart campus for their marine biology study on Dauphin Island.
I entered the hallways of Collegiate for the first time over 12 years ago when I was searching for a school for my own children. From the moment I stepped on campus, I knew that I found a special community. I observed teachers curating a culture of curiosity and respect, and I observed students finding their own voice while reflecting on learning.
If you are searching for a school where your child will be known, challenged, encouraged, and loved, then you have found the right place. A Collegiate education prepares students for life through intentional curriculum design, real-world experiences, and authentic relationships.
We “get” kids. We believe the joy of learning that begins in the preschool years should never get lost as students grow into their young adult years. Our 14-year program begins in Junior Kindergarten with a preschool experience that balances classroom learning with imaginative play and concludes with an internship experience and a student-body speech during senior year.
I encourage you to visit Collegiate to meet the joyful, confident, and resilient global citizens that comprise our student body. During the visit, you will meet our faculty and students, observe classes, and experience firsthand the underpinnings of a Collegiate education. Welcome to Collegiate. I look forward to meeting you soon.
