During the week of January 29, Collegiate celebrated its fourth consecutive International Week. All World Language department teachers were very active putting together activities such as “Papel Picado”, confetti with Mexican designs, classroom door decorations with international themes, an international scavenger hunt and much more! As we celebrated International Week, 30 students from Newcomer Academy visited the Upper School. Newcomer Academy is a JCPS school for English language learners who are new to the country. The students are part of Newcomer Academy’s Explorers Club and participated in a panel with Spanish Club members during morning meeting.
Newcomer Academy students also shadowed US classes and shared about their cultures and experiences in the other divisions. We had a fantastic International Week and thank everyone for participating!
