Global Citizenship

GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP IS A MAJOR PILLAR OF COLLEGIATE’S MISSION.

Louisville Collegiate School is an inclusive community that celebrates its students, families, faculty, and staff from a wide variety of cultures, nationalities, faiths, and experiences. Students at Louisville Collegiate School participate in a globally focused environment that fosters global citizenship, academic excellence, and extraordinary character.

Our aim is to help students become world citizens who are knowledgeable, ethical, curious, and internationally-minded. Active global citizenship makes each of us and our interdependent world better. Our globally focused curriculum is woven into every stage of a student’s education. Global Education is built into everything we do. In English classes, students read diverse books from different perspectives. Our history program was created to give a global view. In world language classes, students develop cultural and linguistic competencies. Through character education and service-learning programs, they develop respect, honor, compassion, and responsibility for themselves and others.

Louisville Collegiate School graduates often go on to study, work, and live internationally, and credit their educational experiences with inspiring and preparing them.
