Summer Programs Week 1: June 1-5

Mindfulness & Yoga

All ages
Elizabeth Cantrell
9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

These mental and physical activities will give you the tools you need to help reduce stress, strengthen attention and focus, and better resolve inevitable conflicts as they arise during these unprecedented times. We will do an opening social activity, some yoga, and some guided imagery. All that is needed is a quiet location.

Introduction to French

Grades 5-6
Jennifer Hoban
9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

This camp is for students completing grades 4 or 5. We will use an app called Seesaw to get an introduction to French language. Students will receive daily videos made by Madame Hoban specifically for beginning French students and complete fun and easy online activities to develop novice level skills.

Improv Fun!

Grades 3 and up
Elizabeth Cantrell
1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Each day, a new improv theme will be given (i.e. a silly commercial, a music video, a famous person scenario impersonation). You will have 10 minutes to create your scene, using your best props and improv skills. You will then present to the group! We will vote on the best improv of the day!
