Field Hockey Skills (INDOORS)

Grades 5-8

8:30-11:30 a.m.

Collegiate’s Amazon field hockey camp is designed for all levels and focuses on skill development and player endurance. After warm-ups, we will play team-building games and then focus on building field hockey skills. Coach Ritchey inspires all athletes in a creative way for every player to enjoy the game! Please bring your own shin guards and a mouthguard. The school can provide a mask and a stick or you may bring your own. Due to field maintenance, this camp will be held indoors this year.

 

Beginning Lego Robotics

Grades 4-6
Sarah Weyrens
8:30-11:30 a.m.

“Ready, set, LEGO!” This camp introduces younger students to real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete tasks. Students will design, build, test, and program robots using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology. Through the application of real-world math and science concepts, students will enhance their critical thinking skills as they compete in mini competitions. Sarah Weyrens, Upper School Science Teacher and Robotics Team Coach will introduce students to the exciting world of robotics.

 

Unplugged Fun

Grades K-4

12:30-3:30 p.m.

Please join me as we have fun, build friendships, and use various problem-solving skills in a technology-free zone! We all know how attractive screen-time is to all of us, but unplugged social interaction is imperative for successful child development. Activities will range from board games to outdoor activities, to Mad-Libbing, crafts, and more!

 

Basketball Skills

Grades 5-8

Come work on your basketball fundamentals this summer with Coach Newberry! Whether your child is looking to refine existing skills, pick up new tips, or just have fun playing basketball, this camp is sure to be a hit.

 

Inkscape: The Beginning (VIRTUAL)

10:00-11:00 a.m.

.An introduction to the free Inkscape graphics software for anyone wanting to do some digital art. Each day we will learn new techniques for creating artworks. There will be plenty of time for practice and exploring.
