On Friday, September 14, more than 100 guests applauded as Calder Beasley ’22 and Holden Boles ’25 unveiled the bronze statue of the late William M. Street ’09H that now overlooks the campus field. Calder and Holden are two of the 2018 winners of the William M. Street Head of School awards. The Divisional awards recognize exceptional leadership as exemplified by Bill in his multiple leadership roles at Collegiate, Brown-Forman, and various area charities. The statue, by sculptor Raymond Graf, is a gift from a group of donors including Bill’s friends, fellow former trustees, and former colleagues at Brown-Forman. In the evening’s remarks, Bill’s close friend Dale Boden P’21, P’23, P’23 imagined the impact that the statue will have for students both present and future and urged students to seize a moment outdoors, “have a conversation with Bill,” and draw inspiration from his legacy.
