Merit Scholarships

Ninth Grade Merit Scholarships

Collegiate awards a limited number of Merit Scholarships each year to ninth-grade candidates who demonstrate superior academic achievement, deep engagement in extracurricular life, and outstanding character and citizenship. In addition to a financial award of up to $6,000, the Merit Scholarship program includes summer stipend awards and annual experiential opportunities. Additional experiential yearly opportunities are available throughout senior year.

 

How to Apply for a Ninth-Grade Merit Scholarship

Prospective Families

  1. Apply for Ninth Grade by December 16, 2026

  2. Complete the Merit Scholar Application by January 8, 2027.

  3. Take the Merit Scholar Assessment: January 9 or 23, 8:30-10:30 a.m. (sign up through the Ninth-Grade Admission application portal)

Current LCS Eighth Grade Families

Application Deadline: January 8, 2027

  1. Complete the Merit Scholar Application.

  2. Request a teacher recommendation from a current 8th-grade academic teacher.

  3. Take the Merit Scholar Assessment: January 9 or 23, 8:30-10:30 a.m. (sign up through the Merit Scholars Application).
