Merit Scholarships

Collegiate Merit Scholars attended Leadership Louisville’s 2023 LeadingBetter Summit at the Kentucky Center for the Arts.

Collegiate awards a limited number of Merit Scholarships each year to qualified ninth-grade candidates who demonstrate superior academic achievement, deep engagement in extracurricular life, and outstanding character and citizenship. In addition to a financial award of up to $6,000, the Merit Scholarship Program starts with a trip to Vanderbilt University and is followed by several experiential opportunities through senior year.

Recognition as a Collegiate Merit Scholar is a highly selective honor that recognizes outstanding students based on:

  • Superior academic achievement
  • Outstanding character
  • The potential for making a significant contribution as a citizen of Collegiate and the global community

The criteria used to determine the Collegiate Merit Scholarship include:

  • Merit Scholarship Application
  • 9th Grade Admission Application
